INVED

INVED, the Institute for the Defense of European Democracies, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan Austrian civil society organization working to strengthen resilience against disinformation, foreign interference and other hybrid threats to democracy. It researches and monitors influence operations in digital spaces, traditional media and public events, then investigates and explains the narratives, actors and tactics involved. Through analysis and public information, INVED aims to help people distinguish reliable reporting from manipulation, encourage critical media use and support democratic institutions and social cohesion.

The organization shares its findings through INVED Insight, regular editorial articles, research publications and briefings for decision-makers. Its services include research and analysis for business and political audiences, commissioned research projects, conferences, workshops, lectures and professional training. These programs are designed for groups including journalists, schools, universities, public institutions and companies, with topics tailored to their needs. INVED also offers train-the-trainer education and helps organizers develop balanced event programs.
