About Investors Council
Investors Council is an independent platform in Georgia that serves as a catalyst for public-private dialogue. Chaired by the Prime Minister of Georgia, its main objective is to promote dialogue between the business community, international financial institutions, donors, and the Government of Georgia. The council focuses on enhancing the business and investment climate in the country.
Funded by the UK Government's Good Governance Fund through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Investors Council is a collaborative effort supported by the Government of Georgia. It brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including government ministries, financial institutions, chambers of commerce, and business associations. The council's members, both permanent and non-permanent, actively contribute to its work by participating in IC meetings, shaping annual reports, and developing work plans.
They also engage in studies on gender equality and monitor legal acts related to business and investment. By fostering dialogue and cooperation, Investors Council plays a vital role in promoting sustainable economic growth and creating a favorable investment climate in Georgia.
