The Instituto Nacional de Vías (INVÍAS) is a Colombian public institution focused on the country’s road and transport infrastructure. Its work includes the execution and operation of national roads, regional roads, and projects involving maritime, river and rail transport. Through its directorates and specialized subdirectorates, INVÍAS oversees infrastructure initiatives and provides information about projects by department, investment progress, and road conditions.

The institution’s public portal offers citizens access to transport-related services and practical travel information. These include permits for freight transport, administrative procedures, and channels for submitting petitions, complaints, reports, suggestions and other requests. Travelers can check the current status of national road corridors through the Viajero Seguro platform, call a free 24-hour road information line, or report incidents through WhatsApp. INVÍAS also publishes procurement opportunities, contract information, technical documents, regulations, management reports and news. Its website provides directories, citizen-service guidance and institutional updates, supporting transparency and public access to information about Colombia’s transport infrastructure.
