INVOLV

INVOLV is a Dutch knowledge centre that promotes participation in healthcare, welfare and research. It brings together people and organisations working to ensure that patients, clients and residents have a meaningful voice in decisions that affect them. The organisation believes participation can improve the quality of care, research and wellbeing, and ultimately contribute to a better quality of life for people with an illness or disability.

INVOLV works with patient and client organisations, researchers, healthcare providers and regional partners. It shares expertise through online knowledge banks and practical resources, and provides advice on participation and organisational development. Its support helps organisations strengthen their work, assists researchers in involving patients and other partners, and helps regional groups develop participation in local care and support.

INVOLV also offers courses, training and online learning, including tailored programmes for different audiences. Its activities include support for research agendas, researcher–patient collaboration and regional participation initiatives. Through knowledge, advice and education, INVOLV helps participation makers build skills, work together and make participation more effective.
