La Revista Sarance es una publicación del Instituto Otavaleño de Antropología (IOA). Creado en 1966, el IOA es un centro regional de investigaciones con un anclaje en la zona geocultural de Otavalo y alrededores y proyección nacional y regional. La divulgación de su trabajo se ha venido realizando a través de sus publicaciones, entre ellas, la Revista Sarance, creada en 1974 como revista de divulgación científica y busca ser un espacio de diálogo crítico y transdisciplinar alrededor de los debates clásicos y actuales del ámbito de las Ciencias Sociales y, en particular, aquellos anclados en la zona de influencia geocultural del Instituto.
