ION

The Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) is an independent educational charity dedicated to education in nutritional therapy. It offers professionally accredited courses, including programmes validated by the University of Portsmouth, for people at different stages of their learning and careers. Options range from short courses and science access study to the Cert HE in Personalised Diet and Health, the BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Therapy, a degree top-up, and postgraduate study in Personalised Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine. ION also provides return-to-practice learning, live and on-demand continuing professional development, and diet and health resources.

Designed to accommodate varied interests and schedules, ION’s courses support learners exploring nutrition as well as those preparing to develop a professional career. The institute complements its teaching with articles, recipes, books, magazines, podcasts, talks and other educational materials. Students and prospective learners can access online open events, free webinars, seminars and networking opportunities, while a free training clinic offers a further service.
