About IOSHM
Institution of Occupational Safety & Health Management (IOSHM) is the oldest and most representative non-governmental organization in Mauritius, dedicated to promoting safety and health at work. Established in 1981, IOSHM brings together occupational safety and health officers and professionals, fostering a code of professional conduct and encouraging standards of excellence in the field. The institution's vision is to be a leader in safety and health promotion in Mauritius, while its mission is to increase awareness and responsibility, organize professional development activities, and collaborate with the government and other stakeholders to ensure safety and health at work.
IOSHM is a full member of the Asia-Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization (APOSHO) and the International Network of Safety & Health Practitioner Organisations (INSHPO), contributing to the enhancement of occupational safety internationally. Additionally, IOSHM offers training courses, workshops, and conferences to individuals interested in occupational safety and health.
