I Pelosi Della Bassa

I Pelosi della Bassa O.D.V.-E.T.S. is an Italian animal-welfare association dedicated to protecting animals and promoting respect for their rights. Its work addresses stray animals, abandonment, exploitation and abuse, while also supporting owners who need help caring for their pets. The association manages initiatives for the rescue, care and rehoming of animals, and promotes adoption and sterilisation projects. It also raises public awareness through educational activities, events, meetings and informational materials, and may collaborate with public bodies, private organisations and local businesses.

The association helps dogs find responsible homes and encourages prospective adopters to consider the long-term commitment involved. Dogs in its care are microchipped, sterilised, vaccinated and treated for seasonal parasites. It also highlights senior dogs, presenting them as affectionate companions who may suit people seeking a calmer pet. Community support is central to its work: volunteers can assist with animal care, dog walks, maintenance and events, while donations help cover the needs of animals at the shelter.
