Instytut Psychiatrii i Neurologii

The Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology (IPiN) is a Warsaw-based clinical and research centre focused on mental health and disorders of the nervous system. It provides comprehensive support for patients through hospital treatment, outpatient consultations and diagnostic services, drawing on modern clinical and diagnostic facilities. Its work includes developing new approaches to treatment and rehabilitation, while research explores brain function, behaviour and the neurobiological mechanisms underlying psychiatric and neurological conditions.

IPiN connects scientific research with clinical practice, bringing together expertise in psychiatry, neurology, psychology, genetics and related fields. Its interdisciplinary teams collaborate with research centres internationally and conduct projects intended to advance diagnosis and care. The Institute’s services include specialist neurological and psychiatric treatment, and it also offers laser interstitial thermal therapy under magnetic resonance guidance for selected cases of drug-resistant epilepsy. Research initiatives include studies of digital tools for schizophrenia diagnosis and participation in the European RES-Q+ project focused on improving stroke care.
