IPMS Warren

IPMS Warren is a Michigan-based chapter of the International Plastic Modelers’ Society and describes itself as the state’s largest east-side IPMS club. Its members meet to share their latest scale-model projects, welcoming hobbyists from beginners to published builders and IPMS National award winners. The club’s interests span many types of models and building approaches, including out-of-the-box kits, aftermarket additions, and scratch-built creations.

IPMS Warren also supports young modelers through a club program for ages 8 to 16; younger children may attend with a parent present. New builders can receive a free snap-together kit to build and take home, while participants bringing their own models can use supplied tools, paint, and glue. Club members are available to teach modeling techniques and offer guidance.

Each year, the group hosts SEMMEX, a growing model contest and show. The 2026 event is scheduled for April 25 at the Walter F. Bruce VFW Post 1146 in St. Clair Shores, with “Tails and Fins” as its theme.
