About Independent Power Producers' Association
Welcome to Independent Power Producers’ Association, Nepal (IPPAN)! Established in 2001, IPPAN is a non-profit, non-government organization that encourages the private sector to participate in the development of hydropower in Nepal. As a link between the private sector and government organizations, IPPAN aims to ensure that Nepalese citizens receive maximum benefits from hydropower development.
IPPAN fosters the exchange of technology, expertise, knowledge, financial resources, and management information among independent power producers in Nepal. This promotes collaboration and enhances the overall growth of the industry. As a membership organization, IPPAN's General Assembly consists of institutional and individual members who elect the Board of Directors responsible for formulating organization plans and policies.
IPPAN also publishes a range of documents and publications to empower Nepal through private power, including the IPPAN Newsletter and Power Summit materials. Located in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, IPPAN is committed to driving the sustainable development of hydropower in Nepal.
