Idaho Parents Unlimited (IPUL) is a statewide organization founded in 1985, dedicated to educating, empowering, supporting, and advocating for individuals with disabilities and their families. IPUL offers a range of programs and services to fulfill their mission. Under IPUL Education, the Parent Training and Information Center provides training and information to parents of children with disabilities, helping them understand their rights and participate effectively in planning and decision-making related to education and transition services.
IPUL Health serves as the State Family Voices Affiliate and the Family to Family Health Information Center, supporting families in making informed choices about healthcare and providing resources for children with special health needs. IPUL Arts offers inclusive and educational opportunities for people with disabilities through the Artist in Residence Program and the Work of Art program, enhancing access to high-quality arts education and developing pre-employment skills. At IPUL, the emphasis is on engagement, education, bridging relationships, and leadership.
They strive for inclusive and accessible communities and services, ensuring equitable access to opportunities for children and youth with disabilities or unique healthcare needs. IPUL operates based on guiding principles that emphasize the provision of accurate information, cultural sensitivity, and active participation of individuals with disabilities and their families in decision-making processes. They also adhere to ethical standards for human services professionals.
With IPUL's individual assistance, workshops, webinars, and advocacy efforts, the organization supports families, resolves issues, provides training, and advocates for systemic change in programs, policies, and rules
