The Iraq Health Access Organization (IHAO) is a leading non-governmental non-profit organization that aims to restore Iraq to its former position as a healthcare leader. Founded in 2007, IHAO initially started as a Fulbright project and has since gained recognition by winning the New Leaders Award from the International Institute of Education. IHAO is dedicated to providing access to health, protection, and livelihood in remote and displaced areas of Iraq.

They address various factors that impact health and well-being, including gender-based violence, economic stability, education, and social cohesion. This is achieved through front line response, economic empowerment, and skills training. Through strategic planning and partnerships with international and national organizations such as UNFPA, IMC, EPIC, HAI, and Cordaid, IHAO implements projects in collaboration with IOM, UNICEF, ICRC, and others.

They focus on vulnerable communities in locations like Nenawa, Kirkuk, Diyala, Salahidin, Anbar, and Baghdad. IHAO's vision is to restore Iraq's leading position in healthcare across the Middle East. Their mission is to address health and its determinants through response, empowerment, and training.
