IRICSS, the Independent Institute for Research on Health and Society Reconciliation, is a nonprofit association based in Dijon, France. It conducts and shares research on health-and-society issues, aiming to make its findings accessible to both the scientific community and the wider public, nationally and internationally. Its work is organized around three research areas: controversial topics and the social representations surrounding them, including homeopathy and vaccination; self-healing as a subject for reconciliation, understood by the institute as placebo, psychological, and behavioral effects that contribute to improved health; and the origins and sociological determinants of health-and-society representations.

A distinctive part of IRICSS’s approach is to involve researchers and health professionals with differing perspectives in a spirit of dialogue and reconciliation. The institute communicates its work through research seminars, webinars, publications, and videos. It also brings together a research group and a scientific committee, and welcomes donations and bequests to support its activities.
