Iris Schreven

Iris Schreven Art presents the work of contemporary painter Iris Schreven, whose large-scale paintings bring female portraiture into dialogue with abstraction. Based in Germany, Schreven creates original works on aluminium and linen, building each composition through layers of materials and pigments, shaped by natural processes. Earthy tones and carefully balanced contrasts give the paintings depth, a distinctive presence and a strong relationship with their surroundings.

The gallery features selected artworks and examples of paintings displayed in architectural settings, showing how each piece can engage with a space. Every work is created from scratch and exists as a one-of-a-kind original; the artist does not produce prints or editions. Schreven also accepts a limited number of commissions each year.
