Iron Shield of Ukraine is a non-profit charitable foundation established in Dnipro in 2022 during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Its mission is to help military personnel and their families restore physical and mental health and return to meaningful lives after the war. The foundation supports veterans who have taken part in combat, wounded service members, and families of soldiers killed in the war.
Its assistance includes funding medicines, surgeries, long-term rehabilitation, bionic prostheses, and endoprostheses. The organization also runs projects called “Give Strength to the Defender” and “Gesture of Gratitude,” and invites individuals and partners to contribute or help share its work. Donations can be made online through Wayforpay, by bank transfer in hryvnias, US dollars, or euros, and in cryptocurrency. The foundation publishes activity reports and organizational documents for public review. It states that it has helped more than 30 injured defenders, with support totaling $44,000. Through donations and practical assistance, Iron Shield of Ukraine works to address the medical and recovery needs of those affected by the war.
