Iron Thistle Academy

Iron Thistle Academy is a martial arts and steel combat training facility focused on developing skill, strength, discipline, and mastery. Its programs introduce students to Buhurt, an armored combat sport, and provide training in martial arts fundamentals and combat-focused athletic preparation. Beginners can learn core techniques and build the skills needed to progress, while experienced practitioners can continue developing their abilities.

Training also supports coordination, balance, mobility, stability, strength, and conditioning. For young students, the academy combines martial arts practice with character development through its youth program and the Nine Thorns of the Thistle. Students explore values drawn from the Tenets of Chivalry, including integrity, courage, loyalty, humility, and compassion.

Iron Thistle Academy presents itself as a community for people who value perseverance, mutual respect, and camaraderie. It welcomes beginners and experienced practitioners to train, challenge themselves, and learn together. The academy’s website provides information about its training programs, payments and waivers, contact details, and network partners, and encourages visitors to begin their training journey.
