About Irvington Fire
Irvington Volunteer Fire Department is a 100% volunteer organization serving its community since 1952. Located at 9111 Fremont Street, just outside Omaha, Nebraska, the department provides fire and emergency medical services to a growing local community. Its volunteers respond to calls around the clock, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The department says it strives to maintain strong training and equipment so it can serve residents effectively. Its website offers information about the department, its services, and community activities, along with a gallery and contact details. Residents in the department’s service area who plan to burn tree limbs, brush, or similar material must obtain a valid burn permit issued by the department.
Permits are available through an online application or by visiting and speaking with the chief. For emergencies, residents should call 911. Irvington Volunteer Fire Department’s work is centered on volunteer-led fire response, EMS support, and practical services that help the community prepare for safe outdoor burning
