Islandpferde Hjarta is a small, horse-centred riding and therapy business in Lütenthien, near Schnega in the Wendland region of Lower Saxony. Founded around Sarah’s passion for Icelandic horses and people, Hjarta places the relationship between horse and human at the heart of its activities. Sarah is a physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Science degree, a Trainer C in gaited riding, a riding therapist trained according to SG-TR, and a Hippolini instructor.
The business offers riding therapy, riding lessons for learners, and introductory walking rides, including options for holiday visitors. Its approach combines thoughtful instruction with opportunities to get to know horses and build confidence around them. Lessons are described as being taught with both care and sound understanding, while therapy focuses on targeted support.
Hjarta’s Icelandic herd includes Léttlynd, Sindri, and Flauta, each with a distinct personality and interests. The horses also take part in activities such as trail outings and groundwork, supporting the welcoming, relationship-focused experience that defines Islandpferde Hjarta.
