Islandpferde Leipzig

Islandpferdegestüt Teichhof is a specialist Icelandic horse stud and riding centre in Großbothen, near Grimma and around 30 minutes from Leipzig. Led by Gaby Schwarznau, who has more than 25 years of experience, the business has provided services for Icelandic horses and riders since 1997. Since autumn 2020, its Großbothen site has offered a complete range of care and training services in a professional setting.

The stud provides individual horse training, from young horses to experienced riding horses, tailored to owners’ goals. Riders can take lessons in small groups, with options including seat training, dressage, tölt training and trail rides. Horse boarding is available in an open-stable system designed for appropriate horse care, with spacious pastures and paddocks. The property also has a riding arena and is home to more than 20 Icelandic horses. Teichhof serves owners seeking training, riding instruction or accommodation for their horses, and welcomes enquiries by phone, WhatsApp or email.
