Islandpferde vom Isselstein

Islandpferde vom Isselstein is a horse-centered business based in Mettmann, Germany, run by Sabine Schum. It focuses on Icelandic horses and combines riding instruction, horse boarding, breeding, and practical guidance for horse owners and riders. The farm offers horse-friendly accommodation in open stables and small groups, fostering a welcoming community where owners can learn, ride, and share experience.

Riding lessons are available on clients’ own horses or on well-trained, approachable school horses. Instruction can support beginners, riders developing young or first horses, and people seeking help with groundwork, handling, loading, or building confidence around horses. The business also provides mobile lessons and advice on horse selection, boarding, saddles, equipment, feeding, hoof care, and health-related questions.

Islandpferde vom Isselstein has bred Icelandic horses on a small private scale, with an emphasis on soundness, longevity, versatile gaits, balanced conformation, and a clear, independent yet open character. It also organizes courses and seminars and serves as an official TOPREITER sales partner, offering access to the brand’s riding products and guidance on suitable saddles and equipment.
