Welcome to Island Sailing Club, affectionately known as 'The Friendly Club'! Established in 1889 as an alternative to exclusive sailing clubs in Cowes, we have a rich history in yachting and racing. As a member of Cowes Combined Clubs, we organize the annual Round the Island Race, one of the largest yacht races in the world, attracting around 1500 boats and 15,000 sailors. We are also one of the organizing clubs for Cowes Week, a prestigious regatta that brings together around 1000 boats and 10,000 sailors.
At Island Sailing Club, we offer a wide range of sailing and social activities for all preferences and abilities. Whether you're an experienced sailor or just starting out, our club provides the perfect platform to meet like-minded individuals, share passions, and learn from each other. Our clubhouse is a focal point for social gatherings, creating a congenial atmosphere for our members.
