Island Tackle is a family-run fishing shop in Port Aransas, Texas, serving local anglers and visitors since 1996. The current owners purchased the business in 2020 and focus on offering competitive prices and helpful customer service. The shop sells fishing gear and other items available in person, with a selection also offered online for customers who cannot visit. Its bait selection includes frozen and, occasionally, fresh dead bait; the store does not carry live bait, and customers can call for an up-to-date list.

Island Tackle also provides services intended to support fishing trips and make vacations run more smoothly. Its website shares practical resources, including tide and weather information, fishing reports, key fishing locations, and fish identification. One featured product is a ghost shrimp pump, designed for durability and use in collecting ghost shrimp from beach sand. These small crustaceans are popular bait, and collecting them can also keep children entertained.
