Isla Tours, also known as Captain Murphy’s, offers fishing trips and boat tours from South Padre Island, Texas. The company presents itself as a family-friendly destination for time on the water, with a focus on enjoyable outings led by helpful, knowledgeable crews. Fishing options include bay fishing, deep-sea trips, full-day excursions, group trips, and private charters, including boats named Murf Dog, Miss Mona, and Thunderbird.
Guests can also choose from dolphin-watching tours, eco tours, sunset cruises, fireworks cruises, and a Port of Brownsville tour. Reviews describe opportunities to see dolphins and other marine life, learn about sea creatures, and, on some eco excursions, handle animals such as starfish and puffer fish. Fishing crews assist anglers, and the company notes that caught fish can be filleted at the dock for a fee.
Isla Tours offers full refunds for cancellations made at least 24 hours before a trip. When weather creates unsafe conditions, staff may cancel or reschedule, with a full refund for company-initiated weather cancellations
