Islumar is a sea-burial provider serving families and funeral directors across the Canary Islands, Mallorca, Ibiza, and selected Spanish mainland coasts. The company describes itself as the oldest sea-burial shipping company in the Canary Islands and says it has conducted ceremonies there for more than 17 years, expanding to Mallorca and Ibiza in 2018. Its German contact office answers questions, accepts arrangements, and coordinates dates, helping families manage the process from abroad.

Islumar organizes both attended and unattended burials in the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Services can include coordination with funeral homes and crematoria, personal transport of the urn to Spain, preparation of the voyage, the at-sea ceremony, and required documentation. Families may choose to scatter ashes freely in Spanish coastal waters or use a biodegradable sea urn, lowered into the water during a traditional ceremony. Available vessels range from motorboats and yachts to traditional sailing ships, with options suited to different group sizes. Islumar also provides advice on locations, arrangements, and costs, and offers a free information and advance-planning pack.
