About ISM Cameroon
Welcome to ISM Cameroon Higher Institute for Scientific and Medical Research (ISM), also known as CRFilMT, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing health research in Cameroon. Founded in 2005 by Joseph KAMGNO, a renowned Professor of Epidemiology, and Head of the Department of Public Health, ISM aims to combat tropical diseases like filariasis through cutting-edge biomedical research.
At ISM, we focus on developing monitoring systems for serious side effects post-treatment, offering quality training for healthcare professionals, and conducting research on neglected tropical diseases. Our state-of-the-art laboratory, overseen by Lab Coordinator Hugues Nana Djeunga, is equipped with platforms for Basic Parasitology, Immunobiology, and Molecular Biology.
Our commitment to healthcare excellence has earned us prestigious awards, including the Christophe Mérieux Prize and the NTD Innovation Award.
