Isolcell is an Italian company specializing in generated, modified and controlled atmospheres, with experience dating back to 1958. Based in Laives, Italy, it develops technologies for food preservation and a range of industrial and cultural applications. Its Storage Division designs and builds controlled-atmosphere solutions and turnkey facilities that help preserve the quality of fruit and vegetables and extend their post-harvest life.
The Industry Division designs and manufactures nitrogen generators for businesses seeking to produce nitrogen on site. For fire prevention, Isolcell’s N2 Oxygen Reduction System reduces oxygen levels in protected environments to help prevent fires. Its Cultural Heritage division develops solutions for the preservation and disinfestation of artworks and cultural property.
Isolcell also serves sectors including petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, electronics, shipping, heat treatment and laser cutting. Research and development are central to the company’s work: it reports more than 33 international patents and collaborates with universities and research centres.
