About Institut pour la Santé, la Population et le Développement
The Institut pour la Santé, la Population et le Développement (ISPD) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare in Haiti. With a primary focus on the health sector, ISPD aims to enhance the quality of care available to the Haitian population. Their comprehensive range of services includes preventive and promotional health programs, clinical services, and projects that address specific healthcare needs.
One of their flagship projects is Klinik Eritaj, the first healthcare institution in Haiti that offers prevention and promotion of health services, as well as clinical services targeted primarily towards men. Another initiative, called BRIDGE, aims to provide accessible HIV services to at-risk populations, even integrating them into their workplaces. ISPD's past project, EQUIP, was an international mechanism funded by USAID and implemented by a consortium of partners based in South Africa.
EQUIP focused on delivering comprehensive HIV services and support. Overall, Institut pour la Santé, la Population et le Développement (ISPD) strives to improve healthcare and contribute to the well-being of the Haitian population
