About Issaquah History Museums
The Issaquah History Museums (IHM) play a vital role in preserving and sharing the rich heritage of Issaquah, serving over 20,000 visitors annually through two engaging museums: the Gilman Town Hall Museum and the Issaquah Depot Museum. These museums feature captivating exhibits that offer insight into Issaquah’s past, complemented by interactive, hands-on activities designed for children.
IHM hosts a variety of public programs, including coal-mining and logging walks, alongside the Hands-On History initiative, where kids can explore local heritage through fun activities. Additionally, educational offerings include guided hikes through historic downtown Issaquah and traveling history kits available through the Issaquah School District.
With a robust collection of over 40,000 photographs and artifacts, IHM continues to enrich the community by collecting items that reflect Issaquah’s narrative. Committed to discovering, preserving, and sharing local history, the Issaquah History Museums invite everyone to explore the past and become involved in learning opportunities.
