About International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists
The International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists (ISSCT) is a global association dedicated to advancing the technical aspects of the cane sugar industry and its co-products. With a long-standing history spanning 99 years, the ISSCT is the oldest and largest organization of sugar technologists worldwide. Through various activities and events, the ISSCT brings together scientists, technologists, managers, institutions, and companies involved in the sugar cane industry.
Their mission is to promote innovative research, development, and technology adoption for the sustainable advancement of the global sugar cane industries and associated communities. The ISSCT is known for organizing Congresses and Workshops, where specialists engage in discussions on key industry issues. The Society has published the proceedings of all its Congresses since 1924.
The upcoming XXXII Congress, a Centennial event, is scheduled for August 2025 in Cali, Colombia. Governed by an Executive of 10 members elected every three years, the ISSCT operates through collaboration with its affiliated societies.
