IsThereSomebody

IsThereSomebody is a peer-support platform for people whose friends or loved ones are struggling with addiction. It offers a private, personalised way to connect with others facing similar circumstances, recognising that stigma can make it difficult to seek support through group sessions or public forums.

Members create an anonymous profile with details such as their age range, relationship to the person they support, and the types of addiction involved. The platform uses this information to suggest people in comparable situations. Members can then chat privately, share experiences, and support one another; messages are end-to-end encrypted, and users can block, report, or remove connections.

IsThereSomebody also provides a Community space where members can ask questions, share resources and insights, and respond to others. Its focus includes alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, heroin, and ketamine addiction, as well as some combined addictions. For people seeking additional help, the service can recommend professional organisations that may offer relevant resources and support.
