Item.ie is an independent Irish price-comparison service that helps shoppers check whether a product or grocery price represents good value. It gathers offers from Irish retailers and brings them together on individual product pages, alongside each item’s tracked price history. Shoppers can compare products across categories including computing, mobile devices, home appliances, furniture, home improvement, kitchenware and home furnishings, as well as groceries from supermarkets such as Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Lidl, SuperValu and Aldi.

The site tracks prices across retailers and highlights recent drops based on a product’s own recorded history, rather than relying on crossed-out prices. Its grocery price index compares the cost of a 24-staple basket between supermarkets. Shoppers can also browse deals and buying guides, and set free email alerts to hear when a tracked product’s price falls. Item.ie does not sell products or process payments; purchases are made directly through the retailer. The service is free for shoppers, and listed prices are shown in euros, inclusive of Irish VAT, for the Republic of Ireland.
