Stichting Behoud Tynster Skûtsje is the organisation behind ’t Swarte Wief, a traditional Frisian sailing vessel that competes in skûtsjesilen races. The foundation supports the preservation and continued activity of the Tynster skûtsje, bringing together its crew, supporters and sponsors around a shared interest in sailing and maritime heritage. The team takes part in events including the IFKS championship and races at Langwar, Lemmer and on the Sneekermeer. Its recent achievements include promotion through the IFKS classes, reaching the large A class in 2026 after moving from C to B in 2025.
The website shares the vessel’s history, including information about the Jonge Willem, and publishes race reports, news and an event agenda. Visitors can learn about the crew and follow the team’s season through photo albums and a magazine. The foundation also provides information about sponsorship, its main and supporting sponsors, the Club van 100 and other donors. Open days offer the public an opportunity to meet the crew, see the vessel and learn more about its ambitions.
