It's Your Festival is a Hamilton-based non-profit organization that is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of ethnic awareness and diverse cultural heritage throughout Canada. Founded in 1969, the Hamilton Folk Arts Heritage Council coordinates the efforts of various ethnic organizations and individuals in developing Canada's Folk Arts and Heritage. Their objectives include preserving the Folk Arts heritage and traditions of the Canadian people, educating and outreach to students and the general public through cultural, folk arts, and heritage programs, and benefiting the community through special cultural events, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions.
It's Your Festival also aims to foster the creative expression of folk arts and provide opportunities for cultural exchange, promoting knowledge and understanding of diverse cultures. Located in the City of Hamilton, the organization recognizes and respects the Indigenous history of the land it occupies.
