Itzhak de Laat

Itzhak de Laat is a custom helmet design and painting studio founded by Olympic short-track champion and helmet artist Itzhak de Laat. Combining sport, art and craftsmanship, the studio creates individually hand-painted helmets that reflect each client’s identity, ambitions and personal story. Every design is unique: the work is not mass-produced, and designs are not repeated.

Itzhak works with clients to develop custom helmets for skating, skiing, cycling and similar disciplines, as well as automotive and motorcycle use. The process includes an initial conversation about the client’s sport, ideas and timeline, followed by design concepts, collaborative refinement, hand-painted execution and careful finishing. Services include personalized design, sponsor logos and a high-quality 2K clear-coat finish. The Masterpiece package can also include complex illustrations, custom graphics and special effects such as gold leaf or glitter. A Statement package is available from €1,540 including VAT, while the all-inclusive Masterpiece package costs €2,960. A separate design fee applies to new designs unless included in the selected package.
