The El Centro de Estudios Ius Novum is an organization founded in 2007 by undergraduate students and graduates of the Law School at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Over the years, it has evolved into a non-profit association that permanently includes students from various Chilean universities and transiently includes exchange students from around the world. The organization is committed to maintaining high academic standards and aims to become a significant platform for the development of research culture and the publication of legal monographs that demonstrate serious, responsible, original, unpublished, and innovative work.

The Revista de Estudios, a biannual publication edited by the Centro de Estudios Ius Novum, is dedicated to the dissemination of original and unpublished legal research papers by students, graduates, and lawyers from all universities, both in Chile and abroad. The Revista de Estudios features sections on Law Degree Dissertations and Studies (monographs or doctrinal articles). Additionally, the organization publishes a bimonthly legal newsletter called the Boletín Jurídico, which includes student opinion columns and interviews with professors on current legal issues.

The organization also conducts research activities, such as conferences, seminars, and colloquia, with the goal of examining important legal matters from an interdisciplinary approach
