IVIO stands for "Intergemeentelijke vereniging voor duurzaam milieubeheer voor Izegem en Ommeland", which is a grouping of 11 municipalities in the West of Flanders (Ardooie, Dentergem, Ingelmunster, Izegem Ledegem, Lendelede, Meulebeke, Oostrozebeke, Pittem, Ruiselede and Tielt) and which was founded on the 1st of april 1997. The provison of services of IVIO reaches over 125.000 inhabitants.
