Ivy Meadows and Friends

Ivy Meadows is a family-focused breeder of Toy and Miniature Australian Shepherds, also known as Miniature American Shepherds, based on a commitment to responsible breeding and thoughtful puppy care. Founded by Andrea (“Drea”), the program grew from years of studying canine behavior, health, and early development, alongside hands-on experience raising puppies. Ivy Meadows aims to place well-rounded companion dogs with families, making breeding decisions with attention to temperament, structure, health, and soundness.

The breeder raises puppies with gentle handling, confidence-building experiences, and purposeful early socialization to help prepare them for life in their new homes. Dogs are described as cherished family members, and the program emphasizes honesty, compassion, and transparency throughout the process. Prospective owners can learn about the breeding dogs, planned and past litters, puppy-raising practices, reservation policies, and the pet contract through the website. Ivy Meadows also notes that its Toy and Mini Aussie puppies keep their tails intact. Families interested in a puppy can contact the breeder by phone, text, or through the website.
