IvyPlus NY

IvyPlus New York provides accelerated mathematics instruction for high-performing K–12 students, helping them prepare for honors-level placement at private schools and succeed in math competitions. Headquartered in New York City, the program serves students locally and internationally through online classes, with private, in-person instruction also offered at its Hudson Yards location. Its curriculum extends beyond Common Core standards, emphasizing deep understanding, mathematical fluency, and flexible problem-solving through numerical, algebraic, and graphical approaches. Lessons connect mathematics to practical fields such as finance, economics, and aviation, and introduce SAT practice as early as Algebra I.

Students can join group or private classes after completing a placement test and trial lesson. IvyPlus reviews progress, advises families on study plans, and selects top-performing students for competition teams. The program’s reported outcomes include school math-course advancement and strong results in assessments such as the AMC 8 and SSAT. Founder Vanessa Wang brings extensive K–12 and competition-math teaching experience. Effective June 1, 2025, new U.S. inquiries about math classes are handled under the brand Athena Math.
