IwaruOy

Iwaru Oy specializes in scale radio-controlled model aircraft inspired by Finland’s aviation heritage, particularly classic PIK-series gliders. The business grew from a founder’s interest in building large-scale sailplanes and a desire to make Finnish-designed aircraft available to model enthusiasts. Its range includes sailplane kits and plans, such as the 5.

5-metre PIK-3c Kajava and 5-metre PIK-16c Vasama, alongside models of historic aircraft including the Gluhareff S-22 and the PIK-7 Harakka series. Motor-plane offerings include the PIK-15 Hinu and Valmet L-70 Vinka. The site also features a Cherokee II model developed in collaboration, downloadable indoor glider and towplane drawings, special offers, deck-chair kits, spare parts and miscellaneous accessories.

Some plans and drawings are offered free of charge. Iwaru presents its selection as a distinctive source of Finnish scale RC aircraft and invites designers to propose models for the site. The webshop is currently paused because of changes to EU value-added tax procedures; orders placed through it are cancelled, while other channels operate independently
