The Iwasaki Foundation is a registered charity supporting people in Central Queensland through charitable grants and tertiary education bursaries. Established to promote and assist the welfare of aged, infirm, disabled, or needy people, the Foundation provides funding to eligible individuals and students facing financial hardship. It has offered charitable grants since 2007, with applications generally accepted in two annual rounds closing on March 15 and September 15.
While its primary focus is Central Queensland, applications from elsewhere in Queensland may be considered when eligibility criteria are met and funds are available. Since October 2010, the Foundation has also awarded bursaries to help financially needy students attend university; more than 75 students have benefited. The organisation is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a Public Benevolent Institution and Deductible Gift Recipient.
Donations of cash or financial assets exceeding $2 are tax-deductible. The Foundation offers online application and donation options and is based in Norman Gardens, Queensland
