About Indonesia Writing Edu Center
IWEC Indonesia Academy, based in Jakarta, is a leading brand in providing literary education and safe literary spaces for children. With a justice-based curriculum, IWEC aims to foster critical and creative thinking in children, empowering them to express their experiences through writing and illustrating. The academy offers a variety of mentoring programs, including Graphic Storytelling and Creative Writing, to increase literacy and literary education among Indonesian children.
In addition, IWEC is an independent non-profit publisher, dedicated to creating access for children to become published authors. They have collaborated with local communities and organizations to mentor and publish books that uplift the stories of children in need. IWEC also organizes a bi-annual creative arts collective movement, showcasing the creative works of Indonesia's youth.
With a strong focus on empowerment and connection to the land, IWEC envisions an empowered generation of children promoting justice and transforming the world through interdisciplinary and imaginative thinking
