İzmir Institute of Technology (İYTE) is a public university established to provide advanced education, teaching and research, particularly in technology. Located in the Gülbahçe campus in Urla, İzmir, it is Turkey’s only example of a high-technology institute, a university model regarded internationally as one of the most advanced technical education formats. English is the language of instruction.

İYTE offers undergraduate, graduate and interdisciplinary programs through its academic units and Graduate Education Institute. Its educational services include a School of Foreign Languages, general education courses, distance learning, a Continuing Education Center and programs for children and high school students.
