Polskie Towarzystwo Wspierania Osób z NZJ "J-elita"

J-elita, formally the Polish Society for Supporting People with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, is a nationwide organisation serving children and adults with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Founded in 2005, it works to improve understanding of these conditions, connect people affected by them, and advocate for access to modern treatment. The society reports having nearly 4,000 members and branches in 14 Polish regions.

J-elita provides educational resources, including guides, publications, a quarterly magazine, expert information, films, podcasts and webinars. It organises educational days, meetings, support groups, camps and trips, and offers psychological support and help with the cost of medicines. Its activities also include projects for children with inflammatory bowel disease and their families, assistance to hospitals with equipment purchases, public appeals and awareness events. The organisation shares information about clinical trials and provides a forum for people affected by these conditions. Individuals can join, volunteer, make donations or support its work through tax contributions.
