Basket Jacks Lago d’Orta is a sports association based in San Maurizio d’Opaglio, serving children and young people around Lake Orta. It offers minibasket and movement classes for girls and boys aged 4 to 15, with courses held in San Maurizio d’Opaglio, Gozzano, Ameno and Miasino. The association also runs Jacks Day Camp, a four-week summer programme combining sport, recreation and creative activities.
Camp activities include minibasket, sailing, stand-up paddleboarding and mountain biking, alongside opportunities in directing, radio and acting, with new activities introduced each year. Beyond its regular courses and camp, Basket Jacks organises initiatives that encourage families to take part in community life. These include fundraising events and information sessions, such as talks with the Italian Red Cross on paediatric resuscitation and meetings with a psychologist about digital education.
Through its youth basketball programmes, seasonal camp and family-focused events, the association brings together sport, learning and entertainment for children in the Lake Orta area
