Jacqueline Spreekt

Jacqueline Spreekt is the funeral-speaking service of Jacqueline Stam-Vis, based in Ursem and working across Alkmaar, Westfriesland and the Noordkop in the Netherlands. She supports families in the days between a death and the farewell, helping them create a personal, meaningful service that honours the life of the person who has died. Jacqueline is not a funeral director; her work focuses on listening, writing and guiding the ceremony.

She takes time to hear family stories and memories, then writes a personal life story or eulogy and refines it together with the family until the words feel right. She also helps shape the service, discussing music, symbolism, faith and rituals according to the family’s wishes. On the day, she speaks at the ceremony and provides a calm, thoughtful presence, coordinating with funeral directors so the service flows smoothly.

Jacqueline’s approach welcomes both religious and non-religious perspectives. Her aim is to create a warm farewell where grief and gratitude can sit side by side, helping loved ones find comfort and a lasting memory to carry forward.
