Jagdschutz und Jägerverein Freising e.V.

The Jagdschutz und Jägerverein Freising Stadt und Land e.V. is a hunting and wildlife association serving Freising and the surrounding area in Bavaria. Its members emphasize responsible stewardship of nature, the care of wildlife and habitats, and the preservation of hunting traditions. The association presents hunting as more than the act of pursuing game: its principles include “Hege,” or active care for wildlife and ecosystems, and “Waidgerechtigkeit,” ethical and lawful conduct toward people and animals. It promotes balanced, species-rich populations and suitable habitats across fields and forests, while recognizing the interdependence of wildlife, farmland and woodland.

The organization supports members and the wider community through activities and services spanning hunting, conservation and education. These include hunting-dog training, courses for puppies and young dogs, preparation for working-dog qualification, tracking seminars, roe deer fawn rescue, nature experiences, shooting activities and Caesium measurement. It also features a hunting-horn group, events and programs for young hunters. The association is affiliated with the Bavarian Hunting Association and invites interested people to learn about membership.
