Jaguar Kayak Academy is a Costa Rica-based provider of professional kayak instruction and guided river adventures, rooted in Sarapiquí and led by local experts. Founded by Costa Rican paddler and ACA instructor Andrey Coto, the academy draws on more than 20 years of whitewater experience. Its small-group programs include multi-day trips combining whitewater paddling with rainforest, volcano and coastal exploration, as well as family adventures across destinations such as Arenal, Pacuare and the Caribbean and Pacific coasts.

Day experiences range from beginner lessons and guided Sarapiquí river outings to private Class III and Class III–IV whitewater runs. Training options include ACA Level 4 whitewater skills and swiftwater rescue courses, roll and rescue workshops, and private coaching. Jaguar Kayak Academy also operates Rivers of Opportunity, a social program providing local young people with free kayaking, equipment and river-safety education.

Across its offerings, the academy blends skill-building, outdoor exploration and community impact in a personal, accessible setting
