About Jakarta Youth Choir
Jakarta Youth Choir (JYC) is a youth choir organization based in DKI Jakarta, established on August 30, 2015, by Ponirin Ariadi Limbong and Septo Adi Kristanto Simanjuntak. Recognized and nurtured by the Youth and Sports Department of DKI Jakarta, JYC has made a significant mark in the choral world. The choir’s debut concert titled “Don’t Stop Believing” in 2017 marked the beginning of their regular choral performances.
JYC has garnered numerous accolades in prestigious national and international choir competitions, notably achieving Grand Prix Winner of The Year at the 34th Internazionale Chorus Inside Advent in Rome, Italy in 2018. With over 100 active members from diverse backgrounds in Jakarta and its surroundings, JYC, under the guidance of choirmaster Septo Adi Kristanto Simanjuntak, aims to represent and honor Jakarta and Indonesia in the world of choral music.
