Jalkaväkikeskus

Jalkaväkikeskus is a Finnish website dedicated to infantry, bringing together people and organisations connected with the field and sharing information about its role, skills, traditions and development. Established by a working group in cooperation with the Finnish Defence Forces’ infantry branch, the site is owned and managed by Jalkaväkikeskus ry. Its purpose is to support infantry capability, expertise and heritage through accessible information and community participation.

The site is organised around three themes: Will, Skills and Technology. Will explores infantry’s history, traditions, museum, and routes into service, while sharing experiences from infantry life. Skills covers training branches and units, events, international connections, reservist development and voluntary training. Technology features infantry weapons and equipment, along with related innovations and developments.

Jalkaväkikeskus also publishes articles and updates on military training, equipment procurement and the people and ideas shaping infantry. Visitors can learn about the infantry’s role in combat, explore educational resources, follow current topics, or contribute content and support the centre’s activities. The site is available in Finnish, English and Swedish.
